Having my first confession this week before Easter Vigil as a convert, and not gonna lie… I’m a little nervous. Coming from a non denominational background, I’m only used to (occasionally) repenting, directly to God. I share 99.9% of my struggles and sin on social media, but it feels so strange to look a priest in the eye and tell him my failures.
I know it’s going to be good, but to do this for the first time, feels intimidating.
Catholics, what was your first confession like?

So here’s the thing: for most cradle-Catholics our first confession would’ve been when we were kids! So probably nothing crazy to confess. So I’m curious as well, how an adult convert feels about their first confession?
